Historic Sites Cruise of the Discovery Islands & Bute Inlet aboard the Historic Columbia III
May 24 – 28, 2015, four nights.
Valued at $1,795 per berth/person (each berth sold singly, but this could be a great trip for a couple or friends).
The Discovery Islands & Bute Inlet have some of the most ruggedly beautiful scenery on the BC coast—much of it only accessible by water. Climb aboard the historic Columbia III for a tour of the islands and Bute Inlet. You’ll enjoy daily shore excursions to explore breath taking spots and heritage sites in Desolation Sound, the Octopus Islands, Bute Inlet and the bird sanctuary at Mitlenatch Island as we wind our way through the narrow passages of this archipelago.
The focus of this tour is heritage sites. Your guide, writer/historian Jeanette Taylor, will regale you with stories. Jeanette has led Mothership’s Coastal History tours for eight years. She attracts repeat guests with her infectious enthusiasm for history and storytelling, based upon a lifetime of research and her four books about this part of the coast.
The Columbia III is an impeccably restored vessel, built over fifty years ago to serve in these waters for a medical mission boat. She now belongs to the Kornelsen/Campbell family of Sonora Island, who provide memorable gourmet fare and will keep you entertained with stories of their lives on this part of the coast.
Mothership Adventures is pleased to offer these two tickets to this popular cultural tour in support of Sunday Dennis.
The 69-foot vessel offers comfortable quarters for up to 10 guests.
